THE WISECRACKING RADIO COMEDY CHALLENGE IS: A FUN FAMILY EVENT! At the comedy challenge, all people who want to try their hand at the funny business are welcome to try out. It is simple we go to a location where you can get shop and then get a good laugh watching those who are brave enough to try to entertain you. All of our comedians are members of the community who want to try their hand at the funny business. We do prescreen people to make sure that they can hold an audience, and boy is it heavy... all joking aside the contestants have to be able to be in front of the crowd and say something, then it's up to you the audience to decide if they are funny or not. All the acts agree to present a family friendly act, so that the entire family can enjoy. No racist or sexist jokes, or nothing that will be offensive, each person who tells jokes or does something else to keep the live audience and the radio audience entertained will do original work. The audience is asked if they like a particular entertainer that they tip them using the performers individual tip jar. We do not require tipping, but since the people are not getting paid by us and there is no big prize, or national contest we want to give the comedians a reason to come back to the next event. We recommend that each member of the audience tips no more than $1 per performer, using a scale of 100% with each penny equaling 1% and the best performers get 100% or $1, and if everyone in the room likes the comedian they could go home with a nice tip.
The event will be recorded for playback on the radio with in the following week, the those who participate in the comedy challenge agree to appear without payment for the live event, the radio playback and the podcast of that radio play, or at any other time. The event is free to attend. You are encouraged to tip the performers, but it is not required. The Comedy Challenge is a community event, we want to keep the cost low so tips are limited to $1 per act from each attendee. To keep this a family event all in attendance are ask to wear conservative clothing, keep conversation clean, and be polite to the people on stage.
